Wand 1 | Wall 1
• Captions Pallotti, 60 by 50cm, charcoal on paper
One of Vincent Pallottis most striking qualities was his humility, for instance he used to sign “nothing and sin”. I searched for quotes that illustrate his meekness.

• Google saintsearch© 1-4, felt paintbrush, pastel and potatoe-print on Fabriano
Pallotti’s tireless roaming of Rome’s streets evoked my wanderlust, so I searched Rome for him by google streetview, I collaged the places that I found. I printed the saint in various sizes as to allude to his most frequently testified miracle; bilocation. A multilocated saint in a virtual city.

Wand 3 | Wall 3
• Saintly anecdotes, ink on Fabriano
I was inspired by the book “Vincent Pallotti, with the eyes of a coeval” by Paul de Geslin, a young priest who came to Rome in 1844. He very ironically describes his quest for a saint and tells anecdotes about Pallotti’s life.

Wand 4 | Wall 4
• Votive boards and calvinist blurps, scratchboard on cardboard and wood, diverse formats

Wand 5 | Wall 5
• Reliquien, diverse Formate, Mischtechnik
• Relics, various formats, mixed media
On the internet there are various pictures of Pallotti’s relics, especially his shoes are represented on every Pallottine webpage. There is also the Pallotti museum in Rome, with it’s 3-D-tour. The museum features the saint’s shoes and a flagellum amongst others. http://pajorama.eu/SAC/Museo-Vincenzo-Pallotti.html

Wand 6 | Wall 6
• A story in the rain, ink on Fabriano
These illustrations – also inspired by Paul de Geslin’s “Vincent Pallotti, with the eyes of a coeval” – show how Pallotti teaches de Geslin about economy and respect for God. Pallotti’s main activity was to hear confession, here he does so in a hospital and succeeds first in hushing a furious soldier with the help of above-mentioned cookies and then has him make his peace with God before dying.
